Pure Water
Along with drinking plenty of water each day, it's equally as important to drink pure water.
Many people in the United States drink water directly from the tap in their home or office without thinking twice about it. That's not a bad a thing as long as your water source is a good one.
In the United States, most people either have well water or city water. Well water is much healthier to drink (and bathe in!) because it doesn't usually have added chemicals to it like city water often has. A simple Google search of well water versus city water will reveal this fact. Well water often tastes much better also due to the wonderful, mineral content in the water!
City water is often treated with chlorine, fluoride, and other harsh and dangerous chemicals. Drinking a few cups of city water isn't going to hurt you, but on a daily basis and over a long period of time, those chemicals can affect your health in a negative way!
In some places, city water claims to be very clean and safe for drinking. My family lives close to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where we have some of the best city water in the country because of the mountains situated just to the west of us.
We live in a neighborhood, and we have city water. My Dad tested our water several years ago with some kind of home testing kit. The test revealed a much lower number of chemicals in our water than most places in the United States, but it also revealed many bad chemicals still lurking in our tap water!
My Dad installed some kind of water filter system under our kitchen sink. After doing that, he tested our water again, and it was much better! The water filter system removed all the bad chemicals from our water, and we now have very pure, clean water for drinking that we get from a small spout next to our kitchen sink. It's wonderful!
My encouragement for a step towards better health is to have your water tested, especially if you have city water like we do. If you have well water, your water is likely much safer and cleaner, but even then, it's a good idea to check your water just to be sure.
Drinking pure water on a daily basis is another very important choice for better health!
