Turkey Meatloaf Recipe

This is a recipe I received from a dear friend of mine. A few months ago, I was in my friend's home for supper one evening and was served this incredibly delicious, turkey meatloaf.

As far as I knew, meatloaf was usually made with ground beef; I'd hadn't heard of making meatloaf with ground turkey. I was so amazed at the flavor, I asked my friend for the recipe.

Often, when I eat in the homes of other people, I tend to be bashful or shy about getting or asking for a second helping. I'd rather go a little hungry than ask for more. Not this time!

"Do you mind if I have a little more?" I politely asked my friend.

"Oh yes, please do!" she gladly replied.

I helped myself to a small, second helping, and I even surprised myself by, very timidly, helping myself to another bite of a third helping while commenting to my friend how delicious it was! (I could also see that there was plenty there!) I didn't go away hungry that evening; I was quite satisfied.

This amazing recipe can be found through the link given here below:

There is also a small video you can watch of the woman who created this recipe making this meatloaf. She comments about ground turkey being better for you than ground beef. (which I recently shared in my blog post about meat.)

If you notice, this recipe calls for 5 pounds of ground turkey - that is a lot of ground turkey! Seeing the size of the enormous loaf this recipe makes, I'd say this easily feeds 10 people, maybe more!

Unless I was planning to feed a lot of people, I would probably cut this recipe in half myself. (using 2 pounds of ground turkey instead)

In my humble opinion, this recipe is just as good as (if not better than) meatloaf made with ground beef. Although I have my Grandma's recipe for meatloaf (using ground beef), this recipe is one I call "a keeper" - one that will definitely go into my recipe book.
